WORLD IN TURMOIL: John Beeching Sunday March 22, 2015.

We live in a world in turmoil. War and perpetual war seem to be the order of the day. Our economy is in crisis again; we are witness to a worldwide drive to re colonize the world and much more.

Last evening I ran into the following article Dated Havana March 21, 2015 in the official organ of the Central Committee The Communist Party of Cuba – Granma. Its title was “Caring drinking water that remains”, The National Institute of Water Resources joins celebrations for World Water Day, which will take place on Sunday March 22. I had to get it translated the following should take you to the article;

Canada has one of the Worlds largest resources of fresh water. It is in danger of serious reduction from Industry and Business and their drive for mega super profits. Maud Barlow of Council of Canadians.org has campaigned strenuously in defense of this water treasure, even speaking to the Unite Nations. She and the council have made a significant contribution in defense of fresh water.

BEST WISHES TO ALL FOR WORLD WATER DAY-

WORLD TURMOIL

It is a result of a capitalist economic crisis – a crisis of over production and under purchasing power as production increased due to the Scientific, Technological Revolution STR. It began shortly after World War Two and has been increasing in production and development since. Production is concomitant with all systems. When production increases to a level that requires a new system the new system developed.

The present crisis should have created a new system. It has been prevented as the owning class used its power of ownership to brainwash the general population to the belief that capitalism was good, kind and beneficial.

In the meantime STR has reached a stage where one persons production became equal to several workers. I saw a research where the ration was 1 to 7; it was about 1983. Today STR has made it possible for that ratio to be much bigger.

Government policy at the demand of the owning class has followed what is known as “The Trickle Down Theory”. It is a false theory designed to increase profits. The result is the Mid and lower class has grown with lower income while the upper class had reduced in numbers but has become richer. The gap between top to bottom as widened exponentially as unemployment and poverty grows.

The world needs a new system. It demands wide discussion and a revolutionary change.
